Top 3 QBs: Rodgers, Brady, Rivers [NOT Vick], Best #2 QBs: Ryan, Flacco, Freeman, Stafford, Best #3 QB: McCoy #fantasyfootball
Would take 1 from each group! Wouldn't you??
NFL.com: Jamaal Charles #4 RB & M. Vick #1 QB, T. Pryor to Raiders--Do U Care? #fantasyfootball
I could see Jamaal Charles as a top 10 back, but closer to #10 than #4--just one man's opinion. I like A. Rodgers, Tom Brady and a few more before I'd take the high risk/high reward Vick.
So, Mr. Entitlement, T. Pryor, is a Raider...is he Jamarcus Russell 2.0 as another pundit stated? Or is he the stud in waiting like "Chucky" Gruden touts? Personally, I can't believe Seattle didn't go hard after him because, let's face it: is anyone going to draft ANY Seattle QB??
Draft time approaches--Who are the Studs & Duds? The Sleepers & Keepers? Time to Subscibe!
Hey now, 2 preseason games in the books. Lots of action, tons of questions, players on the bubble, glimpses of brilliance, yet just as many near misses. The plots are thickening. Destiny awaits. What will happen next?!
It's time to subscribe! Let's TALK LIVE today, this week, next month, and throughout the season! I know the Sleepers & Keepers, the Studs & the Duds.
Colt McCoy's leadership, drive, initiative all paying off for Browns! #fantasyfootball #browns
Colt McCoy's stock rising, ran multiple "Camp Colt"s during lockout, impressive last week against SB Champ Green Bay, led team to 2 TDs in 3 drives, now revealed meeting w/ Brett Favre for tutoring in Mississippi to discuss WCO, footwork, ball direction when under pressure, etc. It all adds up to LEADERSHIP!
Load up on the Falcons, Cam's the Man, Go Browns, Bengals are Bungles, Lions Roar! #fantasyfootball
Look, Preseason Week 1 is a little too early to identify any trends...or is it?
I've been saying to load up on the Falcons since they drafted Julio Jones and their offense was in midseason form this weekend.
Cam Newton is going to vulture TD's from his RB's. If Stafford stays healthy, and they get a decent back-up to Best [Harrison? Really?], the Lions may be leapfrogging over the Bears and Vikes.
The Brownies need to do the same thing; find a decent running mate for Hillis. Former Packer RB Jackson is serviceable--nothing more--as an insurance policy for Hardesty's surgically repaired [?] knee.
Nice to see the Bengals in the hunt for Andrew Luck.
Larry Fitzgerald back to stud-hood, Tebow looks good but not to Fox, Follow me on Twitter & FantasyIndex.com #fantasyfootball
Selected to be an "Expert" again this year for Fantasy Football Index, mock auction draft Monday night, plus weekly input for "Ask the Experts".
Checking out some games and notes:
AZ: Boy does Fitzgerald look good, but he needs a solid #2 WR to emerge or be acquired to take pressure off of him. For now, they have to count on Todd Heap to help. They gave Beanie Wells the ball 4 straight times in goal line...he didn't score though. They are going to miss Hightower. Kolb looked OK, scrambled a little too much.
Denver: Their defense looked a little better. Tebow looks like he did in college--ran with power, chucked a few good ones, was 6 out of 7 at one point, but Fox chewed him out for running away from trouble and extending a play--seriously. Look, Tebow looks for primary receiver, if covered then he takes off. Isn't that what makes him the player he is? He's the better fit for Miami, not Orton.
Tenn: Team ready to make Chris Johnson highest paid RB in league, he just needs to show up, but he says he hasn't been presented with anything.
Cleveland: They will play regulars 1 qtr against GB, looking for LB & WR depth by end of camp. WR Greg Little looks like a great Sleeper pick, Massaquoi lost his cast finally, but still in boot, Cribbs improving. Hardesty looks like PUP is in his future--won't play Saturday. Hillis needs some help, he wore down last 3 games in 2010.
Misc: Cowboys look better, Raiders are in big trouble, Ravens & Philly played a dud, Jags looked helpless against Pats and Brady didn't play.
Offensive Rookies in Preseason Spotlight--Cam, AJ, Ingram, Julio J...and Greg Little?
How eager are we for football this week? Since my home town of Canton got totally screwed with no HOF Game this year, this first taste of game action seems like it will never arrive. With no first game to wet our whistle, I'm sure you're like me and are chomping at the bit to get a good gauge of this year's Rookie crop.
There's plenty to discuss, but I am most eager to see Cam Newton. He may not do squat in preseason, but come the regular season, he will be very intriguing to see how many rushing TDs he'll vulture from DA Williams & J-Stew. Could be nice #3 QB on anyone's roster, unless somebody jumps in and grabs him for their back-up.
Looking forward to seeing AJ Green, Julio, Jones, and--Sleeper Alert--Greg Little of the Browns in action this week. Little looks like the only draftable WR for Cleveland this year.
Mark Ingram looks like Deuce McAllister reincarnated, but stronger. Andy Dalton has a good non-pressure gig in Cincy.
There's a few more interesting Rookies, too, that are under the radar who may contribute big-time. More on the subjects of Sleepers & Rookies for my subscibers!
Help for Foster, Raiders ship sinking, Broncos & Dolphins & Chiefs--oh my!
Nice move by Houston to swap out stud blocking FB's by losing a great one, but recovered by adding former Brown Vickers, a little more protection for Foster and his achy-breaky knee.
Not sure how losing your top 2 players due to disinterest or cheapness will help the Men in Black [& Silver] win more games, or any games...looking like the leader in the clubhouse for the A. Luck lottery in 2012. McFadden's injury compounds their issues further.
Hey Denver, instead of trading Orton to the Fins, moving Tebow instead would allow Fox to keep the more accurate drop-back passer which he wants, and give Sporano the ultimate Wildcat QB, and perhaps nip the Henne sniping in the bud. This is a deal that makes so much sense, it will never happen. Furthermore, Miami has a beleaguered Owner who wants to hob-knob with the snobs and who doesn't want the beleaguered Coach, plus a beleaguered Coach who doesn't want the incumbent beleaguered QB. Resullt: a B-League Team! Parcells sure bailed at the right time.
Kinda like the Chiefs again--although they won't sneak up on anyone like last year--they have some very nice players with upside.
R-Moss retires, Eagles headed for SB46, Seattle headed for Luck [in '12!]
If R-Moss is truly out of football for good, there goes the last remaining active player from my Perfect Season roster--one of the greatest sleepers ever when I drafted him his rookie year. Will he stay out for good? Dead presidents are powerful motivators for return & redemption if the injury bug bites, say in Arizona, Atlanta, Pittspuke, or N'Awlins.
I guess we should skip the 2011 season altogether and hand Philly the Lombardi trophy right now--isn't that right Rex? Bill? Lovie?
What league is Seattle playing in this year--California Penal?--looks like the A-Luck Lottery is their game plan this year.
NFL is back! So is FANTASY FOOTBALL!
